Mt Cook Retreat is within a 10-minute drive of Twizel town centre and Ben Ohau Golf Course. Lake Tekapo is a 1-hour drive away.

The heated suites feature a European farmhouse style, boasting high wooden ceilings and sandstone floors. The classical bathrooms offer free toiletries and a hairdryer.

Set on 160 acres of forest wilderness, the property offers activities such as cycling, hiking and ice-skating (in winter). There is also a shared library that opens onto a sunny courtyard area.

Guests receive free afternoon tea on arrival. Your breakfast includes bacon, free range eggs, homemade bread and jams, muesli and fruit.
